  • Alex’s Homebreak

    Alex’s Homebreak offers youth girls’ teams in San Diego the opportunity to attend a San Diego Wave FC game by giving away 15 tickets every home match, plus 2 chaperones’ tickets. The girls of Alex’s Homebreak have been an integral part in defining the purpose of the Alex Morgan Foundation.

    Do you have a girls’ team in or near San Diego County you’d like to nominate for Alex’s Homebreak? If selected, your team will receive an exclusive experience with special seating in the designated Homebreak section at a Wave FC game.

  • Let’s Go South Bay!

    Let’s Go South Bay! is a new organization created to better serve the recreation soccer needs for girls in San Diego’s South Bay communities. With support of the Alex Morgan Foundation, Let’s Go South Bay! is launching a summer camp centered on girls’ leadership development through soccer. This first annual South Bay Girls Empowerment Soccer Camp will be held at Southwestern College from June 19-23, 2023.

  • Casa Familiar

    Casa Familiar enhances the quality of life for low-income individuals in San Ysidro through education, local outreach, and community building. The Alex Morgan Foundation is pledging support for the Promotora program which focuses specifically on developing and supporting community advocates, most of whom are moms.

  • Girl Effect

    The playing field is not always equal, especially for girls.

    Together, Girl Effect and the Alex Morgan Foundation are launching a special videocampaign series, “In the Field,” which interviews girls from 5 countries about their role models, aspirations, and motivations. Our goal is to amplify the voices of young women and celebrate all that they are doing to create more opportunities for girls as changemakers in their communities.

Getting started in the community

We launched in March 2023 with eyes set on a more equitable and empowered future. Thanks to generous support from our Starting XI partners, we were able to immediately put our mission into action. Take a look at what we were able to achieve in our first six months.

Rady Children’S Hospital Partnership

A trusted organization serving kids and families since 1954, Rady Children’s Hospital is ranked among the top 10 children’s hospitals in the country. Together, we’re committed to raising the next generation of confident kids by supporting families during difficult times, providing mental health resources for teens, and getting more kids involved in sports.
